HOLY TRINITY INVITES THE COMMUNITY
TO THE PERFORMANCE OF QUAPAW STRING QUARTET

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is very supportive of the performing arts and has been the venue for several performances the past few years. Holy Trinity will once again serve as hosts, for performance of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s Quapaw String Quartet on Sunday, September 23rd at 3 pm. This program is made possible in part by a grant from the Arkansas Arts Council through Arts on Tour program. And, also by the Holy Trinity Edgington Memorial Endowment Fund.

Ellen Nagode, Holy Trinity Music Director, says: “Holy Trinity is honored to be able to bring a program of this caliber to the Village. All four quartet members are artists in their own right. Together they will perform masterpieces of the string quartet literature.”

Called an Arkansas treasure, the Quapaw String Quartet was founded in 1980 and since then has provided musical and educational entertainment to thousands of music lovers each year. The program includes Joseph Haydn’s “String Quartet in D Major Op64 No 5 (The Lark),” Igor Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for String Quartet,” and Robert Schumann’s “String Quartet in A Minor Op41.”
The members of the Quartet are Ryan Mooney, viola, Charlotte Crosmer, violin, David Gerstein, cello, and Meredith Maddox Hicks, violin.

The performance is free of charge and open to the public. A reception will follow in Sifford Hall.
