Susan Read of HTEC Communication Committee reported that Reg Read, Outreach Committee member, recently presented 132 dry eraser board markers to Jessieville Elementary School PTO Treasurer Kristen Graves. Ms. Graves expressed sincere appreciation for the donation, adding that community contributions are a key factor in the success of student performance. According to Principal Jed Johnson, Jessieville Elementary is expecting an enrollment of well over 410 students in grades kindergarten through 5, as well as an associate pre-school. PTO President Ashley Grise stated that supplies from the community provide students with resources they might not otherwise be able to obtain. Ms. Grise expressed that another critical need when classes start on August 15 is 1200 boxes of #2 pencils. Anyone wishing to donate pencils or meet other supply needs is encouraged to contact Ms. Grise at jsdlionspto@gmail.com or the school office at (501) 984-5665. Together, the goal is to support the Jessieville School District's mission to foster a safe, orderly environment to "engage every student, educate every minute, and empower every day." ...

She was honored at the National Episcopal Church Convention held in Austin, Texas and was recognized as the “Distinguished Woman of the Triennial of Episcopal Church Woman” for the Diocese of Arkansas.
